MGSU Admission 2026:Course Fee, Admission Process, Last Date

MGSU Admission: Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner will soon start its admission process for the current academic session 2026. Students can access the application form online and pay a registration fee of INR 100/-. MGSU offers 7 UG, 25 PG, and 9 Diploma courses in the field of Commerce, Management, Arts, Science, Social Science, Law, and Education. To be eligible for UG courses, students must complete their 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 48% mark and for PG courses, a bachelor’s degree with at least 55% mark is required. So, selection of the students will be solely based on merits as per the admission policy of the State Govt. The course fee for UG program will vary around INR 14200/- to INR 67000/- and for PG, around INR 15000/- to INR 51800/- for the entire duration. Submission of the duly-filled application form must be made before the expected deadline, which is 15 April 2026.

Admission to various programs at MGSU will begin soon for the 2026 academic session. Registration form will be made available online on the university portal along with an application fee of INR 100/-. It is important to know that students have to fill-out the Application forms for each subject separately with a separate applicable fee. MGSU offers UG courses for the academic duration of 3 years and PG courses for 2 years. Eligible Students can avail reservation and relaxation as per admission policy of the State Govt. Admission of the students will be entirely based on merit as there is no entrance exam conducted by MGS for any UG or PG courses. Final confirmation will be made after the verification of all the original documents. 

MGSU Admission for UG Courses 

Maharaja Ganga Singh University offers UG courses like LLB, BLIS, BA, and BSc with many specializations including 5 year B.A. LL.B. Honors (Integrated). All the courses are approved by the UGC and are available in two categories: Regular and Self-Financed. Undergraduate degree courses are provided for the duration of 3 years, split into 6 semesters. Students can register online to apply for the desired course and pay an application fee of INR 100/-, along with relevant documents. Admission to UG courses will require students to have 10+2 qualification in any stream from a recognised board with at least 48% mark. There is no entrance examination or upper age limit for any UG program. The total course fee will range from INR 14,200/- to INR 67,000/- for the entire program.  

Maharaja Ganga Singh University PG Admission 

MGSU offers several UGC approved PG courses like MSc, MBA, MCOM, MA, LLM, MPES, MAJMC, and MLIS with various specializations. These programs are offered for the course length of 2 years with 4 semesters. To get admission, students must hold a bachelor’s degree of 3 years in any related discipline and score at least 55% mark from a recognized university. Selection of the students will be based on the merit performance of the applicants in the qualifying examination as MGSU does not conduct any entrance examination for PG courses. However, selected students have to appear for a counseling session with their original documents and prescribed course fee. MGSU charges a total course fee ranging between INR 15000/- to INR 51800/- for all the PG courses.  

Eligibility Criteria for MGSU Admission 

Students applying for any UG or PG courses must ensure to check the eligibility criteria for the desired courses. Selection are merit based, however, students must have basic qualifications as listed below:

• For Undergraduate Courses: Applicants must pass a 10+2 examination or equivalent with at least 48% mark in any stream from recognised boards. 

• For postgrdaute Courses: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum  48% marks or 55% in subjects concerned from a UGC approved university. 

• Relaxation: There is 5% mark relaxation for students belonging to SC/ST and other reserved categories. 

• Age Limit: MGSU does not have any upper age limit for any UG or PG course. 

• Additional Point: Students selected on provisional or merit abscess have to attend a counseling session conducted by the university. 

Maharaja Ganga Singh University Admission Process 

MGSU conducts an online registration process for all the UG and PG programs. Students are required to check their eligibility criteria and ensure to keep all the relevant documents before starting the admission process. MGSU registration process includes the following steps: 

Step 1: Visit the MGSU official website. 

Step 2: Register with email ID and phone number. 

Step 3: Login with username and password. 

Step 4: Fill the admission form with personal and educational details and select the desired course.

Step 5: Upload all the scanned documents in given size and format. 

Step 6: Pay application fee of INR 100/- online via payment mode given by the university.

Step 7: Preview all the details and submit the application form before the deadline. 

Step 8: University will release provisional and merit list.

Step 9: Selected applicants have to appear for the counseling round.

Step 10: Original documents will be verified by the university.

Step 11: Students have to pay the prescribed course fee to finalize their admission.

What is the Difference Between Regular and Self-Financing Courses?

Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner offers UG and PG programs under regular and self-financing mode. The main difference between the two is funding. Regular courses are funded by the government, thus have lower fees with high merit based cut-offs. Whereas, self-financing courses do not receive any funding from the government and are entirely paid by the students themselves. Which leads to higher course fee, with a more specialized and professional curriculum. Students can look at some of the key differences given below:
