About YSPUHF: Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry also known as "Nauni University". It is a public state university in Himachal Pradesh. Nauni University admission is open for all Undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the session 2026-27. YSP University Admission begins for UG self-financing degree programs. The last date to fill out the application form for Nauni University is 31 July 2026*. Students can apply to regular and self-financed programs like BSC Hon., Hort., BSC Hon., Forestry, BTECH Biotech., Diploma in Fruit & Vegetable Processing, bakery products, and more.

Nauni University BSc Admission is offered in various specializations such as Horticulture, Forestry, and Biotechnology (4-year programme). 85% of the total seats are reserved for domicile of Himachal Pradesh and are filled through an Entrance Test conducted by the university. Nauni University PG Admission 2026

Nauni University PG course admission is ongoing for the 2026-27 academic year, and applicants can apply by visiting the official website @yspuniversity.ac.in. The university begins online registration for MSc (Entomology), MSc (Food Tech), MSc (Seed Science & Tech), MSc (Vegetable Science), MSc (Plant Pathology), MSc (Fruit Science), MBA Agri, business, and more. The admission process is also followed by counselling, group discussion, and personal interviews.

The ICAR will conduct AIEEA PG to offer seats in the MBA and MSC degree programs. Qualified students in CAT, CMAT, and XAT can be exempt from university entrance tests to earn admission to the desired program. The application form fee for Unreserved category students is INR 1600. While SC/ST will get a slight relaxation, they can deposit INR 1100.

In the MBA admission, 75% of seats will be reserved for Himachal Pradesh students. The rest of the 25% Seats will be reserved for national students.

Nauni University PhD Admission 2026

The admission process for the PhD program has started through the entrance exam at Nauni University. Nauni University offers a doctoral program in Horticulture and Forestry. There are more than 10 subjects for specialization available in the university, and the merit list that is followed by the entrance exam prepares students for PhD admission. Students applying for the PhD course must have completed a master's degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 65% marks.

Sc. candidates with a minimum of 60% for general candidates and 55% for reserved candidates in the corresponding discipline. YSPUHF Admission Reservation

The HP quota seats/seats open for all shall be filled up in the following manner:-

22.5% of the total seats under the HP quota shall be reserved for scheduled caste (15%) and scheduled tribe (7.5%). The benefit of this reservation shall apply to the bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh. In case the candidates in either of the two categories are not available, the seat(s) will be interchangeable.

Note: In case, the candidates as prescribed in the above clause are selected according to their position in the combined general merit list, they shall not be counted for covering the prescribed percentage of reservation. Five seats are reserved for nominees of State Government/ Industries. The merit of the candidate will be determined keeping in view the reservation of various categories.
